She knew her current role wasn’t a good fit for her long term…

When I met Emily, she was determined. She knew her current role wasn’t a good fit for her long term and she had already decided to leave and had established a departure date.  She’d made the decision. The question was - what next? As we worked together, Emily looked into a number of options where she could transfer her sales and sales management skills. What really impressed me was her dedication to the process. She’d start down one path, learn about the field, talk to people, and then say, “Nope, not for me!” But she didn’t ever consider rethinking her original decision. Instead, she’d pick up the next option and check that out. She ultimately didn’t land so far from where she had been, but she changed the important things, and learned a ton in the process about what she wanted - and what she didn’t. That’s commitment!
